take me to the sky

10:13 pm Well today has been a great day. Well obviously there's the post exam euphoria, but this morning to a large part of the afternoon was spent with grace (gan) just eating and talking and eating and talking. Managed to get a copy of pay it forward, hopefully we'll some how get to watch it as a club.

Met cousins while i was out today. Strange really. Singapore is SMALL. But yeah, then I went home, and bummed around and just waited around cause me dad gave me sis and I tickets to watch Lions for Lambs which he got free from somewhere.

And initially I thought my post today was going to be about how I am looking for a new bag and clothes I saw today and how I passed this shop and that today, but really, after watching Lions for Lambs, I just can't blog about that.

The movie is heavy, but I haven't seen such a great, thought- provoking movie in such a long time. Good not for good effects, or for being able to drop hints subtly, or for having a certain jay chou there hammering at a piano. All that is nice, but I never had a movie get me think so much before.

Probably due to the nature of media in Singapore, I have never watched a film or serial or anything that has presented so many different sides to the story before. I mean when I heard the Senator speak, I heard the voice of the Republicans, when I watched the journalist Janine Roth, I see how there are journalists out there who are constantly battling with themselves everyday to be able to publish something they believe in, then, in the student Todd Hayes, I see a student that I will never be able to find in our midst, and in Professor Malley I see every parent and caring teacher.

It really got me thinking. Really really did.

But most of it, I probably can't put up here.

All I can say is, I am really thankful that I have what I have.
