11:52 pm oh my GOD. i tell you the singapore gahmen's AMAZING. they're SO PRO. goodness, they're so good at educating the SMART, THINKING public. so much so that propagandistic messages are a MUST in singapore drama serials. first came the DRAGGY family dramas where every woman gets MARRIED AND PREGNANT. and the couples have these money "problems" which can be solved by these government schemes which the husband advertises to the wife. and they have MANY MANY CHILDREN. anyone want to guess what our wonderful government is trying to tell us?

then finally comes a show with fresh faces, has a youthful feel to it, and doesn't seem like it contains any propagandistic messages, and guess what? they STILL have a way of doing it. ok, so basically, it's this show abt DANCE. and then these students (singaporeans) are competing to represent the school at some competition. then the teacher who's a professional dancer (gahmen) chooses, then says that she's going to bring in two foreign students (obvious) to compete with these local students. then this principal of the school guy (critics) questions her move. her answer: this is foreign talent. not only would it improve our chances at the competition (competitions) , it would foster competitiveness and motivate local students to train harder (therefore, it's a completely good thing). then they have this other teacher (gahmen ass-kisser) who goes, she is a professional dancer, you should trust her judgement and whatever shit. my goodness.

so it's really not my fault that i watch taiwanese dramas. say what you like, they don't try to brainwash you.
